Lately, I’ve been feeling this thing, I call it September-October-RedSox-Moment. Or, SORSM. It’s a term I’ve made when I’m feeling like a sinking boat and I’m the only one trying to save it. I’ll tell you a little story where SORSM came from.
It came from the September to October season of the Boston Red Sox last 2011. They started the season at the bottom, then worked their way up to the top tying in with the Philadelphia Phillies, it was a sure shot that they would make the World Series with the Phillies. Everything was set in stone, or so everyone thought. They defeated the Yankees, (second placers at the time, and yet, very very strong offensively) the Red Sox, in short, were at the top and no one could bring them down. Except for themselves, that is.
They went in September drinking during games. That caused them a W-L record of 7-21. That brought them down, the Yankees on top of their division. They had one more shot, they were tied at second place with the Tampa Bay Rays for the Wild Card. (Wild Card is a shot at the world series)
Come the night of the end of the Regular Season, it was Tampa Bay against New York. And, the Boston Red Sox against the Baltimore Orioles.
On the mound, the Red Sox had their ace pitcher, Jon Lester, a dominant lefty. They work themselves up to a 2-1 lead to the eight inning, then come the closer, Jonathan Papelbon. The closer’s job is to close the game on the opposing team. He is supposed to be the most dependable guy on the team, because when a win presents itself, it’s the closer’s job to make it a win.
They, however lost.
So that’s the story of SORSM. It’s when you give everything but because of carelessness, everything doesn’t become enough.
- The Script.
Come on, they make the best music and why aren’t on the Top?
- Augutana.
Seriously, why don’t they deserve credit for the songs they do?
- The Maine.
After two successful albums which I say 9/10, they should be near the TOP!
- Tyler Ward.
NOW. WE HAVE A PROBLEM. The dude makes unbelievable acoustic covers of today’s mainstream- that they don’t sound mainstream at all! In fact, I wonder how is he not on TOP?
- Breaking Benjamin.
For this band, it annoys me that their not mentioned that much.
- Mayday Parade.
Better than Paramore(in my opinion) but who’s on MTV and all?
- Relient K.
They know how to rock- but why aren’t on TOP?
- Starfield.
Just because their Christians doesn’t mean they can’t do good music- in fact, they play good. One of the best.
- Lee Dewyze.
With a voice like that combined with the guitar and the songs and all- why isn’t he famous? He should be in a list of the Best Artists.
- Anberlin.
Alternative Rock never seemed this good.
- Keane.
Electro has a new face- and why you not famous?
-Howie Day.
Really? Even this guy? Why?!
- Matt Nathanson.
Another dude with an awesome voice and guitar talent- but still under-rated.
- TobyMac.
What does the world have against Christian Artists? Why? People have their own perspectives in life and we accept that- but why can’t some people accept AWESOME Christian Music like TobyMac?
- Gary Jules.
Seriously, this guy too?

John Mayer’s fourth studio album. He also released an acoustic version of most of the songs in the album. The album is perfect for those nights when your going to be on a coffee shop, just relaxing. Since the songs are not particularly loud, they are actually very relaxing.
Listen to: Friends lovers or nothing, Heartbreak warfare, War of my life,
9/10
This is Switchfoot’s fourth studio albums! I’m surprised because the songs in this album are really awesome! It’s not everyday you like all the songs on the album. But this album is exceptional- every song in this album is awesome! So, picking the ‘Listen to:’ will be a little hard.
Listen to: The Beautiful letdown, On fire, Dare you to move.
